+1, and the question was whether or not people expected the exercise of free speech in these countries (which no one has a problem with) to devolve into violence, which is correctly viewed as a problem. |
Those protestors are disgusting, as bad as KKK freaks. They deserve no respect. They advocate killing based on religion. Pieces of filth. |
Yep. Not my prophet. And I absolutely do have the legal right to mock him. |
+1. When will people realize that Muslima is just a very polite troll? She has no self-awareness, says ridiculous things, never tries to think about things from a non-Muslim's perspective and seemingly exists only to irritate other posters. She is not doing Muslims any favors by being their de-facto representative on DCUM. |
It's clear that in some countries, like Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, profit is more important than prophet. ![]() |
"She" implies that she lives here--then says things like "you Americans". I just don't think "she" is who "she" says she is. |
The extreme Islamists in France should know that they live in a country that values satire and free speech generally. If they have a problem with that, perhaps there's another country (and mindset) where they would feel more at home. |
People..ignore Muslima. She's been on every thread even remotely connected to the issue. She's a troll..ignore her. |
Maybe they will listen to you this time.... |
I'm sure she lives here. Does it surprise you that there are immigrants who live here or in Europe who never assimilate and never identify with the culture they're living in? I'm an immigrant too, with native-born husband who's as American as apple pie and all-American kids. It still took me almost a decade to start to feel like an American, and I don't even carry the huge mix of dogmatic religious belief and victimization complex that she wears like an albatross around her neck. |
The hypocrisy of conservatives never ceases to amaze me. You cry 'why do muslims not condemn this?' Then when a Muslim condemns it and engages in dialogue, you try to shout her down, call her a troll, and try to convince everyone to ignore her. |
Speaking of this subject, I heard an interesting news story on WAMU on the way home from work. They were interviewing public school officials over in France in areas where the students are majority Muslim. They had trouble with the moment of silence. The majority of the students flat out refused to observe the moment of silence in rememberance of the victims. One teacher interviewed said approximately 80% of her students refused.
They also interviewed a few people on the street. The views expressed by many in the Muslim community was that the kosher grocery store seige was staged and the US, and that the whole thing was set up by Israel and the US and the terrorists were just set up - the whole thing just a plot to make Muslims look bad. |
Watching NBC news covering this ...but the reporter in France is holding a rolled up paper. Three million copies in one day and they cant show the cover? What p****ies!! |
What a lovely culture. |
Maybe Muslima could explain it better to us. As a Christian, it offends me to see anyone make fun of God or Jesus, but it certainly doen't "humiliate" me, I just feel sorry for the people doing it and pray that they find salvation. I certainly don't take it as an assault or insult on me personally. I don't understand how insulting Muhammad humiliates Muslims. |
