What does this even mean?

Apparently PP is looking for a college where the students are not at all proud of being there?

What is means is that Colgate thinks it is way better than it actually is. On the campus tour you'd think you'd entered the promised land according to the tour guide. It is a solid, top of the second tier LAC. But nothing more, even if they think otherwise.

So you think the tour guide should tell everyone, "Come here if you want, or don't - we're nothing special."?

Can't believe Union College made this list. One impressive domed building (as pictured) does not make a beautiful campus. And with the crumbling city of Schenectady surrounding it - blech.

Don't the information sessions usually come before the tours?

No great love for Colgate, but these are weird posts.

UVA's campus turned me off completely. Dowdy crappy dorms, crumbling ancient buildings, no architectural cohesiveness beyond the lawn. Va Tech is a much better campus and VCU has much better facilities.

But what about Sweet Briar?

LOL. I meant to say Princeton at the end.

But just so you know, Sweet Briar has a beautiful campus. Sweet Briar Sweet Briar Sweet Briar.

I dont know, some type of flower? Not sure what it's named after. But the school has a stunning campus in the mountains of VA- definitely worth a drive.
