Ironically, because of all the GDS puffery, I am skeptical of this claim. Probably not a lie,but you never know.

It's not puffery, and it seems that GDS got more Harvard acceptances than Sidwell. Huge.

Why is this "huge"? I think it's great for GDS kids who got in, but GDS is now, and always has been, one of the top schools in the area for college admissions. So is Sidwell, and several others. It's not a competition.

So by your measure then, GDS must have gotten at least 8 into Yale.

Not sure why some fell the need to make this a competition. How about just posting some info and congratulating folks? We are interested in Maret. Anybody have news? Thanks.

Certainly GDS' reputation and connections are very strong at Harvard. It seems that 2/3 of the parent body went to Harvard undergrad or HLS.

My child (SFS) is excited because so many kids on the FB site for accepted Penn students for Class of 2019 are from Maret, NCS, GDS, Whitman, TJ and SFS. Looks like all the DC schools did great!

Never under-estimate the power of a statistically invalid DCUM anecdotal post!
