Currently trying to cut a deal with them on a 2015 MDX but they are higher than other dealers and don't seem willing to negotiate much. I would like to use them since they are close to where we live which would make maintenance much easier.

Just go to Pohanka in Chantilly. They will give the best price in the area.

+1 I'm on my third Acura now and they do have the best pricing. I ended up buying our most recent Acura closer for a service package.

+1. It's not nearly as nice as OP's other options.

Definitely not super high-end luxury, but comfortable and fun to drive. Test drive it, OP!

How is the visibility/blind spots and turning radius?

Compared to my last MDX the back doesn't feel as open as before - the new back is more curved. But I don't feel like the visibility for other cars is reduced. Maybe just less overall brightness if that makes sense? The top of the back is now rounded instead of being more boxy.

Turning radius is great - I parallel park a few times a day and have no problem getting into tight spots.

Test drive to see if it's comfortable for you.

Appreciate the info. Had the original MDX, now in ML350 and may get an MDX next.

you can go anywhere for maintenance. you don't have to go where you purchased. BTW if they are more expensive for purchases They are probably more expensive for service too.

some dealers throw in extensive service packages - so you don't pay a dime for anything for years. so you need to compare that against the best available deal you can get.

anyone know what the maximum amount you can put on a credit card for a car purchase - would like to maximize the amount of points. Plan to pay cash for the car.

When we bought from a dealer in NJ last summer, they wouldn't let us put more than $5000 on a credit card.

With Amex, you can buy the whole car

The new Audi Q7 coming out next year looks interesting but all I hear about Audi is the horror stories on repair bills. Anyone here happy with their Audi. I see a ton of Audi's on the road around here. I suspect most are leased and turned in after 3 years before the expensive repair bills start.

I'm on my 4th MDX in 12 years. I get a new one (lease) every three years. I obviously love them. Someone asked about blind spot - the new models have the blind-spot alert which is a little light near the side-view mirrors that illuminates when a car is in your blind spot. If you put your turn signal on when a car is in your blind spot, there is a beeping alert as well. And the GPS is one of the best.

DH had an X5 (so did a close friend) and BOTH had nothing but problems. The electrical systems were constantly breaking down and we spent thousands of dollars fixing that puppy.

I think the Audis are the best looking SUVs but just not worth the $$ to me. We looked at them but I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much more than the MDX cost.

Good luck!

Grand cherokee. Love mine.

2nd MDX owner piping in again - I did love the Q7 - so attractive - but hated the nav/ent system. It was hard to use and you had to subscribe to two different services if I remember correctly? And was really worried about maintenance costs after dealing with DH's BMW (German = $$$ maintenance).
