Name some better options please! |
Very true. |
|
usajobs is useless which is why CIA runs their own bespoke system.

It seems that "wise Latinas" are all the hiring rage now. |
latinas have dat ass doe. we're bored of flat-assed whiteys. |
Me too, 2012. Though I am an attorney and I understand it's a different/easier on the hiring people. |
USDA. They have a very high percentage of minorities working there. |
me too. |
| No. It's the main way to get a government position. Every position we are seeking to fill gets advertised on USAJOBS. It's the way I got two different government positions. I am an engineer with a specified job series. |
It's a professional job series. I believe veterans preference works differently for professional job series, ie: (lawyers, doctors, engineers, accountants). OPM website has a listing of which job series are professional. |
|
I have gotten 4 interviews (2 phone and 2 in person), a tentative offer, then two other phone interview requests after accepting an offer that I turned down. From 4 different agencies. I know the site works.
PS The tentative offer was given to me for a job I did not apply for, they just found my resume on USAJOBS. I am an engineer, however. |
To add, I am not a vet either and applied to all entry level positions for my engineering field. I graduated in May. My internship was in the private sector. |
|
I am a military vet of 22 years with the USAF... Got one interview and several referrals with nothing to show in getting hired. Still looking for a job and I truly think getting hired through them is by nepotism. I am thinking it is a joke because I am fast approaching 20 applications and no luck. My frustration with the site is skyrocketing.
Just because you are a vet don't mean jack squat! |
If vets can't get hired through USAJOBS then we're all doomed. |
