Anyone else NOT seen "Frozen"?

I have a 3 yr old and newborn and we haven't seen it. I actually didn't know it existed until my DD started preschool this September.

There's a murderous love interest (prince from another kingdom who woos princess Ana) and while a young kid may not pick up on that, I'd probably wait until your kid is a bit older. I think his character is meant to give a reality check on other princes & the immediate, love at first sight stories you get in other Disney movies. Several of the characters express shock and concern that Ana would get engaged to a guy she just met, so that not so subtle - hey, you don't even know this guy! - message may be more useful for a kid who's seen all the other Disney movies and needs a reality check that real love isn't instantaneous.

Thanks, PP. we haven't actually watched any tv yet except 30 seconds of airplanes landing and bert and ernie. I don't think my 2 year old would even have a CLUE what was going on in a movie, and she's pretty smart if I do say so myself. Do kids even understand tv until they are like 4?

They get it around 3.

Mom to 3 year old boy. Never seen it. I'm sure we will see it eventually.

Saw part of it. Kids wanted to leave when monster snowman showed up.
Not that great of a movie IMO, although I'm clearly in the minority.

I haven't. Older son is 3.5. Not interested in movies. Will occasionally mention Elsa or Anna but I don't think he knows anything more than that he hears their names at preschool.

Mom of two under two. Never seen it. Zero plans to see it anytime soon.

Nope. And probably will not see it. I have a 2yo.

Mom of a 3.5 year old and we hadn't seen it until last week when we were invited to a Frozen Party where the movie was playing (and almost every little girl knew the words and was dancing with sheer delight to the songs). I felt badly that I hadn't shown it to DD - she was so excited to finally see the movie that everyone was talking about.

I've managed not to see it personally, but my 8 year old daughter has seen it several times. Her grandparents took her to see it at the theater, and then her daddy watched it with her when it arrived on DVD from Amazon (I was dealing with first trimester yuckiness). Then there were times she watched it on trips and I was driving.

Haven't seen it. 6 yo DS, 4 yo DS, 2.5 yo DD, 7 mo DS. My 6 year old sometimes runs around singing "let it go" because he heard it at school (those are the only words he knows to the song).

To the mom who was asking whether kids understand tv -- they definitely do by 3, because all their friends are talking about what they've seen on the playground, at daycare, at the playdate, etc. Soon they'll be wondering why their friends have seen something but they haven't.

Not every kid. My 3.5 year old son is a social butterfly at daycare and hasn't ever seen a movie or character except Dora. He just has no interest - not for lack of trying to get him to chill in front of a show for 30 mins!

I just saw it last weekend actually. Was sad it didn't live up to the hype.
