So many successful people comment on their good luck in ended up where they did. Some people make what seem to be good choices at the time, but life deals them tough ones. Also, the digital disruption has thrown many folks for a loop. I have so many examples ... Don't tempt fate, OP. You are not exempt from health problems, drunk drivers, wrong place, wrong time crime scene ...

I actually don't think this OP is a troll, because he has bragged about this rags to riches story before. I'm embarrassed that I know this, but that's another thread.

OP, I grew up in a trailer and now live in a million dollar home thanks to extremely hard work, student loans, and luck. However in my life I have seen incredible tragedy and I would give every penny away if I could change some of the awful things I have been through as an adult.

You're really focusing on the wrong things and as others have noted, you sound like an ass.

Does someone make their own success when they pay for school through student loans backed by the Federal government and then take a tax deduction based on the interest paid on the loan?

I'm a proud moderate, and I think that we should provide assistance to people so that hey can gain the skills they need to be successful. I think that people who get help need to remember that they benefited from the help provided and should not become asshats like OP.
