I didn't say it was OP's fault she gained 50 pounds. But there's a real possibility a man's failure to satisfy ends up killing his partner's sex drive....for him.

There can be a relationship between sex drive and trying to keep in shape, however. How many times have you seen the woman who dropped a bunch of weight and started looking a lot better almost immediately after a divorce or breaking up with a boyfriend? Being back on the market and the excitement of potentially meeting someone new can be a huge motivator to try to look sexually appealing.
