I didn't know that. Still like 20 miles away but I should just find an excuse! thanks! |
| A real Native American restaurant. There's the Mitsitam Cafe but I wouldn't call that a real restaurant. |

I really want to try some Korean tacos.
A Vietnamese owned French place. Highbrow Mexican, with fantastic moles (think Like Water for Chocolate) Serious regional Chinese of any kind: Yunnan food. Northwest Chinese with Muslim influences and fabulous dumplings. An authentic Spanish tapas place with good cheap wine and European quality charcuterie and cheeses but without too much pretense. Making myself hungry, so will probably stop now |
| Good Indian-Chinese. Toronto has some great ones. I crave Chili-Garlic noodles and Gobi Manchurian. |
OMG. I had no idea there was I-C anywhere in North America. I go to Toronto for work sometimes and will absolutely hunt these out. Chili-Garlic reminds me of my grandfather taking me to the Chinese restaurants on Park St. in Calcutta every summer when we went. |
Agree with this. I have found the Chinese food all over the city and 'burbs very disappointing. |
| There used to be an awesome indian place at the top of Georgetown called Curry Club. We used to go there all the time. We moved away for a year and when we came back it had gone. Still sad about that. |

A good Georgian restaurant.
Really good authentic Thai - I have tried all the places in Wheaton and they disappoint. The only good ones are little Serow, which is expensive and impossible to get in, and Bangkok golden, which is way out in the burbs. A decent Indonesian restaurant. Bethesda could also use a good gastropub. |
| Real Hawaiian Shave Ice. No more Sweet Frog. |
|
Russian or polish restaurant. I'd love some kasha varnishkas and eggplant caviar. Pierogis.
Also, a Puerto Rican restaurant that has amazing ropa vieja. |
| Actual kosher deli like Bens in NY. Kosher-style is just insulting. |
So with you on this one! Family style would be even better. |

Bengali
Cambodian |
| I'd love a proper Uzbek plov. |
Check out the shave ice stand near Barnes and Noble in downtown Bethesda. Summer only. |
