The Affair (Showtime)

I read an article in Entertainment Weekly where the writers said that men will be more likely to believe his perspective and women Allison's, which is probably why most posters believe her so far

I've only watched two episodes, and although I believed her, I also didn't like her after the second episode.

It's starting to get boring, seeing the same thing twice. I don't care enough on who died or why.

The last two weeks episodes have been nearly flawless. The scenes with Allison and her mom were fantastic.

Boring and predictable.

I loved this in the beginning but now it's making me sad. I feel like Noah is just destroying his family for a hot f*ck.

Isn't that how it usually goes ...

Maybe it's a little slow at times, but I wouldn't say it's predictable. I mean this is a show about an affair that really isn't about sex or the affair.

Dominic West is incredibly delicious.

I like this show! Very interested in where it's headed. I hope it wraps up nicely and doesn't disappoint.

I love love love this show. And all the shirtless scenes of Dominic West are awesome. I wish he was speaking in his regular posh British accent. And the fact that he has 5 kids makes me love him more.

Honestly, the show is kind of bland. I found it interesting the first few weeks, but now it's dull.

Some interesting developments in the last episode. Hard to watch the wife starting to catch on that something's wrong and showing her hurt and vulnerability. Interesting how Oscar seems to be playing them all. Looks from the previews like they might be outed soon.

I was definitely not expecting the drug angle.

Oscar does seem to be playing them.
What I don't understand is how Noah and Alison are dirty dancing at a club(maybe the only club in Montauk), walking around Block Island with lots of PDA's and not getting caught? Alison has lived on the East End all of her life, surely people recognize her and would gossip.

One other thing, in the scenes where they are being interviewed by the detective, Alison says she has to pick up her kid, do you think She got pregnant from this affair, do you think they end up together?

I am not a fan of the Lockhart family. They are drug dealers to maintain their ranch, even though they could get $30 million for it. But they are super self-righteous about Oscar wanting to develop a bowling alley to sustain his operation. Also, Pacey (can't remember his name on this show!) seems to be a jerk for being pissed that Alison wants to move on from the tragedy of the lost child. All around, I do not like him.

I do feel bad for Noah's wife. She seems to be a reasonable woman who loves her husband and pretty easygoing. Her only flaw seems to be that she is accustomed to a more expensive lifestyle, which makes sense in light of how she grows up.

Didn't the cop specifically ask Noah if he had ever been to The End an episode or so ago? So, clearly Noah has been to The End, and why would he lie when he was there with his best friend anyway? And Noah's wife seemed to pick up on the fact that Noah was out way later than his best friend - but no questions asked?
