No they do not. They can use their phones in the hallway and at lunch. Worst decision ever as evidenced by the CONSTANT stealth cell phone use in class. ..big distraction all the time. Outside of class they are texting each other...thats right each other... and escalating fights and bullying. At lunch all the kid's just stare at their phones and text or watch videos and play games. No one socializes appropriately. BYOD is not the same thing and the schools will have a hard time with that as kids have such a wide variety ..or no technology other than talk and text. |

My coworker describes wide spread phone use in class. Her child taking pictures of the board rather than taking notes etc. |
