No matter what, the crazy neighbor who ignited the place to begin with is going to have a problem with any new house on that property. In the crazy neighbor's mind, that property stands for all of the new houses that have been built since, in that neighborhood. Crazy neighbor is reminded he is only one tax payment away from not affording his own house, as the first new house started the comps and taxes being set through the roof. You could not give me that house for free.

Obviously it is the same party responsible in both arsons. Have they caught the guy yet? Will this builder be putting measures in place? I hope so. The responsible party does not sound very smart.

Not so obvious. Neighborhood scuttlebutt is that the first arsonist died (electrocuted in a storm) and his friends lit the second one in homage.

What about the third fire?

I saw that yesterday. I hope they got a fantastic deal. No way would I buy a house that's burned more than once.

Same lot, but different (smaller) house and different builder. That entire block of Haycock is mostly new homes now.

All it takes is one disgruntled neighbor. I wouldn't chance it. Especially if that property was the first knock down.

Time marches on. They'll be fine. This house has a nice front yard and a much smaller footprint.
