The helmet thing never happened. But whomever made it up sure got a lot of mileage out of it.

But anyway, it is odd to want to rank these three schools. They are each unique and tough to gain admission to.

Not true. The Landon boys, who couldn't handle losing to SSSAS, took the SSSAS equipment into their locker room. Nobody except them knows 100% for sure what they did with the gear, but what kind of kids who do something like that?

Oh my lord - you again? That was more than a year ago and sprang up at the same time someone tried to shame the SSSA girls and Landon boosters were complaining about rocks being stolen (for which SSA actually apologized).

See the difference? SSSAS took responsibility for the theft of those meaningless rocks. Meanwhile, Landon said nothing about its students stealing (and allegedly defecating on) equipment. Says everything you need to know about Landon.

I think the allegation was urinating on equipment, not defecating on it.

Actually, an incident did happen -- it was covered on the lax websites and DC Sports Fan. But the coaches of the two teams just handled it internally so the fuss would die down.

Hey Prep. You spent millions revamping your athletic facilities, crowing about it being nicer than Notre Dame's field house. All at the expense of tuition control and teacher salaries. Your academics dropped but you didn't care. Now your meathead 57 yr old lax coach gets fired for a bar fight and Gonzaga spanks you in every sport. You're left with shiny facilities but no heart and diminishing applications in the Catholic community. Why go there over the other major WCAC schools? Nice job.

With 1000 boys, a location in the inner city and the Jesuit Academy as an athletics feeder school, Gonzaga ought to beat GP in every sport.

Worry more about Gonzaga. Get over your envy of Prep. Prep will be fine without you.
