And men love them. OP do you want to hold your self to the desirability of DCUM? Or DCUD? |
| Call it what you want. I love french manicures. On hands and toes. |
| Out |
| My husband loves my French manicures. |
| dated and tacky. go with a pale pink like ballet slippers/bubble bath. |
| Probably but I don't care. If I get a pedicure with one color, you can see very easily when it grows out. With a French, it lasts twice as long b/c of the natural color and if it chips, it really isn't noticeable. I get one a few times per summer. |
| Men love them?? Really? My husband thinks they're weird and doesn't get it. |
If my DH had a gun to his head right now, he would not be able to say what color (or even IF there is a color) is on my nails to save his life. But there are LOTS of guys with foot fetishes. And manicure/long nail fetishes. |
|
I like a French pedi with short toe nails (always short whatever color, of course) and a narrow white line. It looks clean and you shouldn't be able to tell it is a French.
Hands are different. |
| I think a natural, shortish nail with a thin line of white looks elegant. I think a long, square nail, fake or real, with thick white or thick neon white looks gaudy. |
| I have never understood the interest of anyone to get a "French" manicure and definitely not a pedicure. I have never seen this look in any fashion magazine-editorial, layout, print ad, nor the red carpet. The only place I have seen it is on a Real Housewives of NJ or Playmate. Tacky, tacky... |
Who cares? I like my French mani/pedis. |
| French manicures are bad enough, but french pedicures are ghastly, like just painfully ugly. |
| You can do the french manicure with a pale pink/off white on the tips and clear/lighter pink on the nails and it actually looks very natural, but always clean - even if you're working in the garden. I like that look, but don't love the bright white on fingers either - I think it's a bit tacky. A long-time girlfriend of mine always gets colors on the tips of her nails....love her and would never say a word, but it's awful. |
| I know someone that still gets the clunky, thick, long, square acrylic French manicures. She smokes a lot and is lower income. I steer clear of French bc of her. |
