Are you that impetuous in real life, OP? You sound so much like someone I know. Luckily he's vacationing in China at the moment. |
| Op, at least you are not mother or are you? |
|
I have seen this play out in real life.
Neighbors wife had affair with their daughters BFFs dad...2 marriages over, girls are no longer friends. Not pretty and no happily ever after in sight. |
Well, no. Just thinking it through here which seems to be a pretty safe place. Do you know what impetuous means? |
I do, thank you very much. Had a perfect score on my GRE
You go on thinking about it - fantasy is good for letting out all the demons. That's it. |
| Please do it, OP, but only if you're going to post the drama here!!! |
Don't the circumstances totally kill the romance? To me it seems way more selfish than romantic. |
|
If an attractive neighbor Dad were to say something to me, I'd much prefer it be of the pounding-against-the-playset/wall variety than "I want to hold your hand". Who fantasizes about holding hands??!? |

I can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly married the wrong person! I rushed into marriage and 12 years later we are divorced. I can only hope that I have learned from my mistakes and IF I do marry again I will choose smartly! |

Where are your spouses when you two are together?
What is your relationship like with your wife? Is your neighbor happily married? I think the fantasy is probably better than the reality and should be kept that way. |
| Happened to two people I know in my hometown. They had an affair. Both marriages fell apart. Divorced. Affair partners married. Six kids between them. Six months into new marriage, wife diagnosed with advanced stage melanoma. Died within 4 months. Families, trust, etc now destroyed. |
Thank you for this! I get so tired of hearing about the "one". There are a series of people we connect with over the course of our lifetime -- some become friends, some become lovers. In either case circumstances often throw us together (or sometimes we actively are seeking someone) and help us get to know one another better, but in the end we are deciding with whom we fall in love, by spending time with them and allowing the connection to develop. OP, you met someone with whom you can connect. Either firmly put them in the friend category and use this connection to help you refocus on your marriage, or stay far away. But, whatever you do, don't let your life become a disaster zone because you think you met "the one" while you're married. If you pursue this, you are not only blowing up your life, but that of your kids and your spouse. |

I'd call troll, but when I was in junior high, my mom cheated on my dad with the father of my best friend since K. Destroyed EVERYTHING, and I still haven't forgiven the bitch.
OP, if you have any love for your family, particularly your daughter, DO NOT DO THIS. |
