Have we gone too far with TAG in PGCPS?

My son passed the Olsat at 93%. How do I apply for TAG. What documents do I need?

Contact the TAG coordinator at your school.
If you are in private then contact the TAG office. You generally need the OLSAT scores and a teacher assessment checklist but with an OLSAT that high you might not need the checklist.

If you are interested in your child attending a TAG center you should put in the application through the Scriborder system.

I don't envy district leaders in PG County. If they don't offer TAG schools and magnet schools, parents will leave public schools for private or other counties.

And they are trying to make TAG programs as accessible as possible, which I applaud them for, but it's a balancing act. Even parents here want to the scores percentiles raised but then you lose equity because the OLSAT is not fair. TAG programs are disproportionately white and non-ELL (and I don't believe that white children and native English speakers are disproportionately gifted).
