My DH is in tech, makes $125/year + bonus and works 40 hours a week. When he is coming up on a big deadline (maybe 2-3x a year), he will work 50-80 hours a week, but he gets vacation days comped.

40 hours/week, very occasionally will work an extra couple hours, 25k/year. I would gladly work more and make more money.

35 h/week, make $105k. DH works 40 h/week, and makes closer to $200k (with bonus). I feel very fortunate. We are also in our early 40s, if that matters.

Same here. I make less money, but I get home by 5:30 and have dinner with my kids every night and have the whole weekend with my family. Worth it to me.

My parents made a decision early in my dad's career that it wasn't worth it to them to have him make more money if it meant that we didn't get to see him every day. They never once regretted it, and I'm really close to my dad and they still have an awesome marriage.

I work 37.5 with occasional extra 30 minutes or so, along with travel and weekend meetings a few times a year. Make $130k at large nonprofit.
