Left the apple pie sitting out overnight. Is it still good to eat?

If you read the Libby's pumpkin pie recipe that is on the can, it says to refrigerate the pie after letting it cool, for 2 hours after baking. You are taking a chance with people's health by not refrigerating the pie. So not worth it.

Huh? Do you normally store pies in the fridge, I don't unless they have whipped cream.

Custard pies, including pumpkin, and cream pies should be refrigerated.

Yes. But even leaving a pumpkin or other custard pie out for one night wouldn't taint it horribly. At least, I'd eat it. We often make the pies the night before and leave them out overnight to cool, then refrigerate the next morning. Never have gotten sick. I might not do this in the summer but in winter when the house is cold, it really doesn't matter. My host family in Japan used to leave all sorts of stuff out overnight in winter -- curry, soup, you name it -- and eat it the next morning. Sometimes for several days in a row. They were fine, I was fine. Unless you have a compromised immune system there really isn't a reason to worry about most of this stuff when it's just a day or two.

Pumpkin is not a custard pie. It can sit out a day or three. You have a greater chance of getting sick eating a salad. Come on, pumpkin pie is not even close to being a custard.

I'm pretty strict about food safety, and I would have no qualms about leaving an apple or a pumpkin pie out for a few days.

They put that on the can to cover themselves if they get sued.

Pumpkin pies do not need to go into the fridge after two hours.

Look at the grocery stores. They just leave them sitting on un refrigerated shelves.

Thanksgiving pie should not last beyond Friday breakfast. But if the Hazardous Pie Removal Squad can't help you, I can!
