OP here. DC was awarded $8000/year as recipient of the Trustees Scholarship. That sounds good but when I did UVM's calculation for how much he should get given his grades/scores he should have gotten $12,000. Not going to worry about it now. He has a bunch of other colleges he waiting to hear back from. If it turns out he really wants to go to UVM we may see if they can up the award a bit.
