Recently discovered some of my family came on the Mayflower; anyone else?

Some of my family came on the Mayflower and some came to Jamestown even earlier.

And, my husband immigrated in the 1970s. So our kids have both somewhat old and very recent immigrants in their background.

yes, paternal grandmother's family. same last name.

we are not old money/DAR and my mom's side of the family were poor eastern europeans who came here in the early 1900s.

I saw a Descendants of the Mayflower license plate today. Didn't even know that existed. How pretentious.

They are the reason my ancestors got smallpox, and evidently lost the privilege to be known as native.
Nevermind the fact they started the rumor that Columbus discovered god land my people were already living on.
