| What's a car coat? |
I'm guessing a light weight coat for the car. My kids don't wear their winter coats in their car seats. I just keep a blanket in the back to throw over them. |

2 nike noisy jackets
3 hoodies 1 bomber jacket 1 fleece lined hoodie All on sale, clearance, or gifted. |
| My 8 yr old has one winter coat, 2 fleece jackets and a few sweatshirts. He also has a rain jacket. |
|
2 thick winter coats - one that gets trashed at daycare and one that she wears when we go places on the weekends. Which reminds me I need to toss the daycare one in the wash this weekend, after one day it is covered in dirt all up the back.
2 thinner fleece coats - same deal as above 2 windbreakers - see above Probably 6 hooded sweatshirts, fleeces, and sweaters. |
| My DDs have about 5 coats each, but I only bought one spring/fall/light weather coat and one heavy weather coat for each of them. For some reason my family loves to buy coats for my daughters. I swear every holiday or birthday my cousins, aunts, sisters and parents all buy coats, jackets or hoodies of some type for my girls. It's a bit embarrassing, and I feel badly about it. I have them wear some of them a couple times around my relatives so they see them being worn and then I donate them to charity. |

When I buy a coat for one of my kids, I get it about 2 sizes too big, so that it lasts for 3 years. This works for us. We have one warm coat for each kid, plus a down vest for each, again, bought big for years of use. We also have numerous hoodies and fleeces that we've gotten as gifts or hand-me-downs.
Kids are 2 and 4. Maybe when they're older, we'll feel that its important to have them in better fitting clothes. |
| 1yo and 3yo DDs each have 1 winter coat, a rainjacket, and a fleece hoodie. There also some cotton hoodies floating about of various sizes. |

winter coat
rain coat vest light weather jacket several sweatshirts; hoodies I think pp who mentioned lined coats with zip out linings helps, but these are usually more expensive. We also have variable weather here, very few days out of the year that we actually need heavy duty coats, but those blizzards do come around. |
We get hand me downs from 3 family members for DD so she has probably 10 lightweight jackets, 3 winter jackets and a raincoat. DS has 1 winter jacket, 2 lightweight jackets and a raincoat (no hand me downs). |
| My DD is very tall she'll be wearing my coats in no time. I No longer beat myself up for having so many coats for myself.; I can share them with DD. |
No. I am the type that does not have a compulsive shopping problem and money in my savings account. |

My 7-year old son has 2: 1 winter coat and 1 sweat jacket.
