Sorry, OP. But don't feel embarrassed - you should feel proud of yourself for being direct! It's good practice. Just think, the next time you do it he could be Mr. Right!

Good for you OP! You did a brave thing. Don't let the "bad" result turn you off from remembering what a grown-up good thing you did. You can't know until you try, right??

it sucks now, but it will be a really good thing in the long run. much better than keeping him in mind as a possibility and wondering what if for years to come.
