Great thread--I had so many of the items listed but my favorite was my black Debbie Gibson hat. Always worn with a spritz of Electric Youth, of course.

I still have my huge yellow Forenza canvas bag from back then. It probably still has grains of sand at the bottom from its many trips to the beach.

Anyone remember ton sur ton? Jean jackets with jeans was a cool look! I was so proud, too, of my taffeta Jessica McClintock gown for one prom! Off the shoulder hot pink!

That reminds me of the giant canvas bags from the Gap that were everywhere.

I so wish I could still wear those llbean bluchers. I can't, right? Do they still sell them? Love those shoes. Still do wear the 2013 version of the jcrew anorak I wore all through high school. I would totally be happy if slouchy socks over leggings came back in style. So comfortable, especially with those long esprit sweaters. I don't miss the reebok Velcro high tops -- my toes always went through the top, leaving a little hole long before I outgrew the sneakers. I can remember wearing boxer shorts as outerwear, roled down at the waist. Also wore shirts with ads on them for lucky strikes, and got some strange looks but no comments from teachers.
