My answer too! I use coconut milk and red curry paste.

I would also add that the gluten-free sausage scone (warmed up) from Buzz Bakery holds a special place in my heart right now.

I'm in sf. Where do we get apple butter, and how does one consume it?

My favorite things there are the. Crispy imperial rolls and the clay pot chicken. Both can be gotten from Out the Door around the corner from Slanted.

OMG I am so jealous of the Slanted Door diners!! Love that place. Most delicious thing I've eaten recently was grilled swordfish from Black's Bar & Grill in Bethesda. Super fresh, perfectly cooked. Yum!

Really? Is the food good there? I've only been twice for late night eats and I'm sure their fries are fine. They get little to no press for their food. Worth going to actually eat?

You win, and I am incredibly jealous!

Me too. I am 7.5 months pregnant and I told DH the first five things I am eating after I give birth are sushi, sushi, etc. Maybe some ceviche for variety. Maybe not.

The sandwich was from a very nondescript corner store/deli at the corner of Clay and Leavenworth in Nob Hill. They make the apple butter from scratch so you can probably buy it straight. It's cinnamon-y and apply and paired really well with the savory sandwich. Not sure how else you could eat it but I'm sure google knows!

I LOVE apple butter. I buy it from local farms here in DC, MD and VA. The one in my fridge now is mccutcheon's.

The way I eat it is on toast. I toast and butter the bread and then add some delicious apple butter on top.

Here's a pic of it:
