Another minor nit-pick, the sickening, fucking right-wing nut job was charged with was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer. Slightly worse than just being removed. From the linked article...

Small was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, which carries a fine of $2,500 and up to 10 years in prison, and disturbing a school operation, which carries a fine of $2,500 and up to six months.

You can count on the great state of Maryland to protect the peace though. Just see what happens if your 7 year tears a piece of paper into the shape of a gun while at school.

Disturbing a school operation? What the freak? Only in a liberal state...

So you are saying that any conservative should tell Baltimore which educational standard they should voluntarily adopt?

I suppose though, that the MD legal system will do the right thing and throw him in prison for a few years.

That was a mighty scary video. I encourage everyone to watch it. Don't really know what Common Core is but that sickening, fucking right-wing nut job was truly a terror.

This says about enough. Go away you belligerent troll, you can't even type straight. Perhaps Common Core would be good for you after all.

Wingnuts have a vested interest in making sure the public education system is as ineffective as possible. Where else will we get the next generation of uneducated dipshits to reflexively vote for the GOP?

Who is the sickening, right-wing nut job on this thread? Is it the same person who alleges Soros sent Jews to concentration camps?

Is there a specific reason why you're being so rude and are only interested degrading this discussion? All I've brought up is the fact that your really cannot say with veracity which ideology this person is.

It's unfortunate that you find one person's point of view and their decision to speak out about educational policy to be so "sickening".

Sheesh, what would Randi Weingarten say?

I have to agree!

This 3 page thread and postings like yours have done more to promote Common Core than just about anyone or anything out there. You are a one person, public relations powerhouse.

Go, Common Core! Boo and shame on the belligerent and pronoun challenged trolls.

Please do.

The man who was arrested apparently never threw a punch or pushed. He was accused of assault because the security officer touched him and he pulled away. A lawyer who fights this type of nonsense already offered his services.

Oh, and the man spoke during the Q and A session after the hour long talk, according to those that were there.

Usually, when someone refuses to follow the meeting format, they get asked to leave. If they refuse to leave, security makes them leave. If they refuse to listen to security, they get escorted out.

Why is this so baffling to conservatives, you do it to liberals in your town hall meetings all the time. They expect it, so should you.

Umm, sure, Small was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, which carries a fine of $2,500 and up to 10 years in prison, and disturbing a school operation, which carries a fine of $2,500 and up to six months.

How many Code Pink protesters, for example, are charged with second-degree assault of a police officer or similar?

But, perhaps Code Pink does not protest in the great State of Maryland. Maryland, particularly the school system can be pretty hard-assed about protecting the peace. Just ask any 7 year old who has torn a piece of paper into the shape of a gun or chewed a pop-tart into the wrong shape.

What's baffling is how many liberals accept an hour of lecture, followed by hand-picked questions, without questioning why this is being done in this format

They can throw him out, but to arrest him for assault when it was clearly security doing the manhandling smacks of Gestapo.

Conservatives are apparently baffled by the law. The man can be charged with all kinds of crimes. He has to be tried before he is convicted. If there is no evidence of a crime -- as you suggest -- then it is very unlikely (remember, the guy is white) that he will be convicted. On the other hand, if there is evidence that is not part of the video being circulated, that will come out in trial.
