Daggummit I think that's it!
Also just noticed the different granite (darker) on the countertop. I really like the contrasts and think it works. (Lose the valances though). Even looked up in-line cabinets and still confused. All the cabinets seem to fall in line and reach the top...

Best thing about two dishwashers is you don't have to unload. Just use magnets that say clean and dirty. Want a bowl? Open clean dishwasher. Dirty up a bowl? Put in dirty dishwasher.

You're right that I can't afford it. But if I could afford it, I assure you this is not the house I'd be spending $3mil on. To me it looks like something a major league athlete would live in and then show off on cribs.

Ooh. Tacky lower-class people who make money doing something other people enjoy watching. I'm guessing that's not applicable to your line of work, if any.

Your assessment, not mine. All I'm saying is trade the sauna for a grotto and a few ovens for a shark tank and you have Gilbert Arenas' $3.5 mil. Great Falls Home:

Umm, where's the third oven and warming drawer? Is it just not in the picture?

Why are the wall cabinets cherry/black granite and the center island expresso/tan granite?

Did they add the island later, and were unable to match the black granite, so they just said fuck it and went with the opposite color?

It looks like a very expensive kitchen renovation gone wrong.

Yourself.

Just because a decorator says it is a good idea does not mean it is actually a good idea.

Overall, very underwhelmed....

First off those are full overlay, and how do you propose making cabinets touch the ceiling if the ceilings are 10 feet tall with double crown molding

That was my point. At that price point one does not expect full overlay cabinets in the kitchen. They should be bespoke full face frame cabinets with an inset door, and the inset door should have some heft to - i like 5/4 doors. If you want to have a built in look you build a full cornice over the cabinets. So let's call it about a foot - you have a 3 1/2 or so crown, a 6-8 inch frieze, built out a soffit, and then a bedmold. The bedmold can be the terminating molding on the cabinets, bringing their height to about 9 ft. You build a double upper - upper top is usually about 18 inches by the time you have the two rails and a door bringing the top of your upper to about 7 ' 6". Throw glass in the uppers and light them with recess cans for affect.

Its' done all the time. Who ever did this kitchen doesn't get it. Way too many dollars on appliances, not enough on the cabinets.

I personally prefer something like this....although this looks like its only a nine foot ceiling.

You acted clueless and if it was a mistake as to why that happened I gave you the reason.

One minor nit pick on this pic, I am not a fan of that type of microwave placement. It should be a microwave drawer under the counter and a regular mirowave over the counter.

Have to disagree. Not from your area - build in the Northeast. Here white kitchens are very popular. Stained kitchens are considered too dark; but things change. I would like to see more rift oak kitchens because of characteristics of the wood - stability, its hard, performs well with water, natural beauty, etc. But when most folks think white oak they think shingle style or mission and it is hard to get them over their preconceptions.

I do understand your thoughts though. Oil base paints are not what they were because of VOC laws and lacquer finishes are a bitch to fix in the field.

Point taken; desire was placement near refrig/freezer at a height the kids could use but I like your ideas.

I'd love that much space and that much equipment, but the colors/finishes/trim/design elements are pretty much my nightmare.
