I have a Labradinger - he was a rescue and we didn't know his breed until we had him DNA tested. He is a fantastic dog, very affectionate and has progressed really well at training classes, working his way up to the gold level.
Ollie (my dog) was around 2 when we got him and he was quite wild, he calmed down pretty quickly once he had a good routine. He gets on with other dogs, but isn't interested in playing with others as he is very hunt orientated. He is alert the entire time he is out on walks looking for things to chase - he has caught a couple of pigeons, a squirrel and a rabbit, so if you are squeamish this isn't the dog for you. Ollie is a very handsome boy, with many people thinking he is a Labrador puppy as he looks like a short Lab. He loves human company and will work for treats and affection. He has done well in gun dog training, working trials and agility, but he has to be kept busy. He needs far more exercise than my full breed Labrador and will work all day, I am always exhausted well before he is. Ollie is good with kids, but he doesn't like his space to be invaded so is less tolerant than our Labrador. As long as children know not to crowd him there has never been a problem. Over all Ollie is a fantastic dog and this type of dog will keep you very fit indeed!! Good luck and enjoy if you get one. |
| I have a labradinger -one of the best dogs of my life - loyal - intelligent the mind of a springer and the stamina of a lab - good combination |
| I have a lab x spaniel and she was a rescue from the pound. Picked up as a stray in a rural area. (Sorry that name labradinger is just ridiculous!). She's not broken at all, just sweet, crazy, energetic, loving, curious, mischievous, oh, and did I mention energetic! Amazing dog - easy to train, top of her class at obedience, and I'm pretty sure she would've made an awesome gundog if I was that way inclined. If you're not prepared to give lots of exercise, training and structure don't get one, in fact don't bother with any dog. She is 2.5 now and I've had her since 10 mths. |
| I have one it is a 6 yr old girl.best dog ever! Great in every way |
| I have a springer and hes a rescue came to me at 3.5 its previous owners didn't make note of damage. I have had several springers. I take them over labs any day. |

Here are several Labradinger/Springador dogs on petfinder. Many puppies in Virginia.

One of the best dogs I have ever owned was a labradinger. Extremely intelligent, affectionate, sweet, unbelievably patient, with not one but FOUR children (including one with severe special needs). I would get another in a heartbeat.

You can search pet finder for specific breeds, lots of times the rescues will know what breed the parents were. It might take a little time but you could find one.
Another option is to search the amish breeders in Lancaster county PA. They have many 2 breed mix puppies. I just adopted a rescue puppy, but searched their mixed breed puppies to see what there was, greenfield puppies I think was the site. |

Here is the link for springer mixes, cute Aussie shepherd springer mixes at the top. Personally I've found 2 dogs on petfinder, specific mixed breeds that I was looking for. Also if you contact a specific shelter they can be on the look out for the mix you want. Good luck! |
Whoever wrote this is an ass. God, I'd hate to be your child. The rescue dogs I know are not projects. Wonderful loving dogs. Grow up. |
Yep, just adopted a puppy mill Yorkie, who lived 3 years in a cage, had multiple litters, needed surgery, yada, yada, yada... She turned out to be a great dog! Good with children, good with our *mutt* hound, funny, smart, and loves life. Believe it or not, she's not *broken*. But I wasn't looking for perfection - the perfect dog - I was looking for a dog that needed a loving home. I accept my children for who they are as well. |
Do not buy from amish which are running the puppy mill capital of the east coast in SE Pennsylvania: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=7187712 If it's a PA breeder who shows etc that is different. I suspect Greenfield brokers for puppy mills. |

I'm the pp that posted the link to greenfield; I agree there are amish puppy mills going on. The whole Lancaster puppy website has terrible looking puppies for sale. But I did read through many good reviews of the greenfield site. I'm not approving of raising tons if litters for profit, but the reviews I read all stated good conditions and heathy mama dogs and puppies. Of course there maybe a lot going on behind the scenes.
Again, I totally recommend petfinder for adopting a puppy; but the OP asked for breeders so I supplied the link |
We got a 4 year old labradinger from rescue, the best dog ever, we have had him almost a year, he was never a project. he was in our house and after the first hour, he knew he had a new home. In the year we have had him, he has never destroyed anything, stays off the furniture and on his bed, he only has two faults, he howls when the piano is played and is no social with puppies.

| I have a springer. Pure bred. He's a rescue. I know people who have had springer/lab mixes their is no guarantee what breed they will take after. |
