I had three mutt dogs as a kid and I love mixed breed dogs. I won't get a rescue, though. It's hard to find a puppy and the older dogs at rescue agencies are poorly socialized and trained. They're broken, mostly. I want a good dog, not a project.
You are ridiculous. Every single dog I know is a rescue dog and none of them is a "project."
Whoever wrote this is an ass. God, I'd hate to be your child. The rescue dogs I know are not projects. Wonderful loving dogs. Grow up.
We got a 4 year old labradinger from rescue, the best dog ever, we have had him almost a year, he was never a project. he was in our house :-) and after the first hour, he knew he had a new home. In the year we have had him, he has never destroyed anything, stays off the furniture and on his bed, he only has two faults, he howls when the piano is played and is no social with puppies.
