I can't believe you're all worked up over this house.

When you can afford it, THEN start to post about how hideous you think it is

But if you're not in the million dollar category, I fail to see how you can become experts on its decor.

They have money - big time money - which means they can decide HOW to decorate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not gonna lie. I like it. Sure it would look stupid in Chevy Chase, but it looks awesome where it is. Check out that view, the pool, etc. Agree it would be a killer party house and like living in a cartoon. That's their vibe and they WENT FOR IT. Rock on, electrician and bodybuilder! My kid would go nuts for that purple bedroom!

(I spent the day looking at boring houses in boring neighborhoods in MoCo. Sad.)

I know the story behind this house. There's a bed and breakfast next door to this house. I stayed there and the owner of the B&B told me the story about the house.

They're Cubans from Miami and they built this place to remind them of home. He is a lawyer. Not sure what Cubans are doing on the Eastern Sore. While I agree it's pricey, it is 20 acres of land with a beautiful 800 feet of waterfront. Why is this house ridiculous according to DCUMers but a decrepit rowhouse in SE can go for almost $2 million?

I love it and the color. I have a lot of atypical for DC color in my home also. Everyone here does the same boring beige crap which matches the beige boring personalities of many of the people here. Give me color, ai love it. It looks like a cheerful happy place to live.
