| Lillian Jane? |
| My little sister had a last name as middle that was very masculine, and she always felt shorted in the name department. The other three girls have girl middle names, and she wished hers was prettier. Not necessarily a thing against it because she might not care, but a thought. |
| I like it too. Go for it. There will always be some people who differ, but it's your baby and your family so do what's right for you. |
| Call her LJ |

Reminds me of the mom in the (newer) Parent Trap, named Elizabeth James.
I'd assume it was a maiden name. |
You must be the same poster on the other thread who said girls with boy names are rednecky. I'm here to tell you as a native southerner, you don't know rednecks. No redneck would ever name her child Lillian James. Try Mikaylah or Myckynsey or something along those lines. Cheap, unnecessarily difficult to misspell and "cutesy" sounding. That's what a redneck likes. |
| Might be ok since it's after her grandfather. I have a masculine sounding middle name (Jo) and I hate it. I never tell my middle name unless I have to and always wished it were something prettier. |
| Stupid. |
Yes, it was the mother's maiden name. Nothing to do with a middle name. |
Agreed. Sounds like Harriet or Doris. Just go with Lily |
| I'm amazed there aren't more people getting hung up on the Harry Potter thing... |
|
You love it because you don't know her last name and james sounds like a last name.
Yes it sounds elegant but it probably sounds dumb with an ethnic last name. Leave the boy names for boys. |
I like it and it would be super cool if she chooses a life of crime and starts chewing tobacco and spitting on dogs. The Outlaw Lillian James. |
| I personally like both of your name choices. It's a middle name - do what you want, but both sound very nice. |
| Love it. |
