I am of course seeing doctors (while also trying to work and I have 2 kids under 5.5) but this is really getting to me.
--parathesias (feel like I dropped a paperclip on my foot and go to pick it up and there is nothing there) --odd tingling hands/feet --when I sleep on my back (unintentionally) I wake up with my pinky finger completely numb --feel like my leg has fallen asleep and is waking up painfully when I drive to/from work --had thyroid ultrasound and have 3 nodules that they want to biopsy (one is over 1 cm) but doc says that my thyroid is functioning "normally" --out of the blue diagnosed with asthma in April. Had a lung function test which showed "mild asthma". Never been told I have asthma prior to this. Have not had to use the inhaler doc gave me. --symptoms of weird fluttering in my upper chest/neck/throat. Not sure if it is GERD? --Awful leg pain in my thighs and calves for the past 10 days like I had a terrible flu and am recovering. --extremely tired --weight loss --blood in urine when leaving sample over the past year (what they call trace blood) --elevated CRP (almost 11) |
Anyone?

the tingling in the pinky could be from your back. i had the same thing, started in my shoulder and ran down my arm. popped my back and it was better.
do you have to go #2 often, like 2-5 times a day? with mild stomach cramps? i have, what i believe, is a mild flu. my legs hurt like hell, chest pains from indigestion, eyes a bit blurry, super tired. there is another thread on this page called mild stomach bug or something, read that |
| I had pain and neuro symptoms like that and it was fibromyalgia. I take Lexapro, of all things, for it, and it's mostly fine now. I have to make sure I get enough sleep, but otherwise, I feel great. |

Thanks PPs. I think 12:04 and 12:30 you may be onto something. I think it could be a virus along with fibroymyalgia and possibly some underlying anxiety. The odd things are the blood in the urine and the high CRP. I didn't think fibro came with inflammation (just FEELS like inflammation).
I guess it is taking so long to get to the bottom of this because I need to see multiple docs (rheumatologist, urologist, etc)... |
Yes, I have a pinched disc in my neck and this happens to me all the time. |
| blood in the urine could be serious |
| Op, how are you? |
|
Undiagnosed Lyme? I know an expert. It can present with all those characteristics. Ask for the Western Blot test.
BTW, I am having dull aches in the front of my thighs. Mostly at night when I try to sleep. Not restless leg, just dull ache. I've been putting a heating pad on them to help me fall asleep. Any thoughts? |
| 12:28 - what expert do you recommend for a lyme test? I had a lyme test but they said it was negative. IgA and IgG I think... |
| Maybe Munchausen...... |
|
Ignore the pp.
It could be anxiety, which caused slot of similar things for me, especially the tingling. |

OP I had this before we left on vacation, but not so severe. My legs were definitely aching and I took some Tylenol for it here and there. It felt like I had the flu, but just the aching, not the other symptoms. I had not gotten new orthotics in years and I do think buying new ones helped. I didn't feel like waiting to see a podiatrist for the specially made ones so I just got some made at a running store (same day-15 minutes).
I had some chest symptoms too. I was anxious and I tend to get GERD when anxious so that is probably why. I have Hashimotos (sounds worse than it is), but as far as I know my thyroid meds are the correct dose. I also have a family history of MS and I have to control the urge to just assume I now have it. My neuro tends to take the wait and see approach and so far he has not felt the need to refer me for an MRI. None of my symptoms have impaired my ability to function day to day, they were just annoying. Anyhoo after a vacation I came back 100% "cured" at least for the time being so I think anxiety was setting off all sorts of issues for me together with the orthotic thing. Good luck! Let us know how things go. |
What can anxiety cause? How can you tell the difference? |
I honestly wasn't trying to be nasty. Op has more than one post on this forum and she has classic markers of Munchausen. It is. A disease just like the others mentioned. It is nothing to be ashamed of, but treatment can be effective and may help her feel so much better. My mother has it and things improved when she sought treatment. |
