My kid did a computer camp through the montgomery county that was run by Funutation. It was a half day camp and was terrible. They had 3 computers for 18 kids on the first day. They got 6 by day 2, but did not control the kids to make sure everyone in the teams had a chance. One kid on each team dominated (usually the oldest) and did most of the work. They gave kids a manual to figure out the scratch program rather than provide any instruction. I would not recommend Funutation!

DC ICE sounds fun. What does your son like about the camp? Others?

Rave reviews from Green Acres Camp.they have swimming lessons every day and a mix of indoor and outdoor activities.

My son loves DC ICE because there is ICE and INLINE skating and games every day. Coach Nat is amazing and engaging with the kids as well as the friends he makes while at camp.

The weird capitilization and the link posted on multiple threads makes me think the poster works for them.

I would complain and ask for a refund, honestly. That is outrageous! A computer camp should have one computer per kid AND they didn't even teach them anything? I would also post a review on Yelp.

Fake.

Too bad, was considering them and now would not. At least they could have a participant family write if they are that good.

Excuse me....caps police....my comment is not fake. The reason why I wrote dc ice in CAPS is because the DC ICE logo is in all caps. Don't let these people on here discourage you from checking the camp out for yourself.

And I am a "participant family"....

What do people do who can't afford the tuition rates for camps like Valley Mill, Green Acres, and such?

Good question. It is crazy around here. Especially if you have more than one child...
