My eldest has only done one weeklong half day camp so far. She did the Shake It Up Dance camp at Adagio and loved it. They learned 3 routines and did a performance at the end. Next week both girls do a camp at Adagio. Full day for our 7 year old (Secret Garden) and half day for or 4 year old (Beatrix Potter). Based on previous experiences at Adagio I expect them both to love it.

DC 7 loved Jhoon Rhee TKD camp in Falls Church (they do tons more than TKD though, movies, bowling, water parks, etc.)

I'll add a 5th vote for Congo. I love how they utilize social media to tell me about my kids' days: video clips of rocket camp on Facebook, tons of pics on flikr. They also continue to expand camp offerings: my rising 6th grader loved the 1 wk "build a computer" camp (although he came home wanting to dismantle our home computers). My 5 y/o loved Lego pirate camp, and the 9 y/o loved Water Adventures - a different water park every day.

We are trying a 1 wk Hardcore Hockey camp in August, but our go to camp is Congo. Morning bus service also makes life easier.

This is our first year at Congo and it has been great. I like how organized it is, that the staff appears well-trained and is so good with the children, that food (lunch/snacks) is provided and, mostly importantly, that my child is really enjoying it.

My son has loved wonder kids at mclean. I wish they played outside a little more, it doesn't seem very "camp" like to me, but he loves it and is very happy and is having a great time.

Anyone doing the first session of Levine in DC? We're signed up for the second session and would love to hear feedback on this year's program. Thanks.

I wanted to post and say that my 5.5 year old twins have learned to swim at Congo Camp. We have done swim lessons with them before a couple times (for maybe 8 sessions, twice). We also did the lessons at Congo last year.

This is our first session at Congo this year, and after two of the supplemental swim lessons and three days of camp, they were swimming independently! I am so excited. My older son didnt' swim comfortably until he was 7. I feel like we've saved money and hassle of doing a lot of swim lessons (even while we are paying so much for Congo!)

My DD attended the Pure Performance Softball Camp and had a really good experience.

She picked up a lot of good tips and definitely improved in a couple areas.

The pick up and drop off were organized. And the counselors leading the camp were knowledgeable.

+8 on Congressional Camp...we keep trying a couple different camps but every time Congo camp is our favorite. For some reason their counselors are just hands down better than any other camp we try.

My DC, age 6, is doing valley mill for the first time -- we had originally signed her up for 6 weeks and a her request, we have added even more. She loves all the singing and the different activities and has developed a confidence in her physical abilities that she didnt have before. She comes home filthy and tired, but so happy.

My 3 year old is loving the KaliedoKids camp at Sidwell. Great teachers and it's really well run. Wasn't insanely expensive, either!
