For the record, I'm dying to get a Culver's here. Any other midwesterners with me??

Yes! Ice cream around here is the pits.

There appears to be some confusion.

As I understand it, this thread was intended for a discussion of restaurants and cuisines that Persons of Taste would like to be able to avail themselves of Locally. These could be Fine Dining or Casual, but they must Delight the Palate.

As has been pointed out, there is previous thread to discuss "franchises" and other Abominata, and I think many of us would be much obliged if the afficionados of Appleby's and Arby's reactivate it and repair thither, forthwith.

TIA!

This was going to my answer. God do I love their Zalads. And Zax sauce. We were driving home from going out of town for the holiday last week and I made my DH pull off in South Carolina because I saw an exit that had a Zaxby's. It was like 10:30 am and I wasn't quite hungry yet, but I got it and ate it later on down the road for lunch. SO GOOD.

I also wish we had Krystal, Krispy Kreme and Waffle House. If you get like, 35 miles out of the metro area Waffle Houses are everywhere (as they should be) but it's like there's some dead zone in the metro area they cannot infiltrate.

Also if any of you are familiar with Savannah, I'd kill for a Spanky's here. I ate those chicken fingers and spuds twice while home in Georgia last week.
