Tell me about changes that made a difference in your well being

Over the last year I lost 30 lbs, mostly by eating smaller portions, reducing processed white carbs as much as possible, and cutting out most desserts other than fruit. It's actually been quite easy.

I walk 3 miles at a very fast pace at least 5 days a week.

I get more sleep - 7-8 hours compared to the 6 hours of the past.

I am spending more on haircuts/highlights.

I am buying new clothes (have to since most of my old clothes no longer fit).

I feel a ton better not just health wise, but also in terms of self confidence since I really felt uncomfortable at the higher weight. I still have another 10 lbs to go but expect that will take another year since I am not up for crazy diets, slow and steady works for me.

OP here- I just bought some probiotic at WF today! Here's hoping it has the intended consequences! Thank you to all PPs for your thoughtful responses. I truly appreciate it.

What are the intended consequences of a probiotic?

To put "good" bacteria into your gut. They can get wiped out or depleted by various things including antibiotics. The "good" bacteria help improve your intestinal health which can have various positive effects. You can read more here if interested:

I feel like I should stop watching TV and do something more productive or meaningful with my evening but I don't really want to! What do you think?
