Does anyone have an inkling of how many open K spots there will be for Yu Ying?

There has been talk about adding PS3 for 2014 when fifth grade goes to DCI but nothing has been decided yet. If they do have PS3, it will probably be all in Mandarin so that kids get 2 yrs of Mandarin before they start getting 50/50 English/Mandarin in K.

For PK4 it's better to go to the school. DH was no. 2 in line last year and got his application time stamped with 8:00. Only the first few people got this time though. We were no. 1 on the PK4 waitlist.

After the lottery did you stay #1 on that waitlist? I've been wondering how often (if at all) kids get into a higher grade in the lottery and then a sibling wanting a PK4 slot knocks #1 down? Although the more I learn about this crazy process, I guess the highly sought after charters don't have a lot of upper grade slots going to lottery so if you're near the top of the waitlist you shouldn't expect to be knocked too many spots down by siblings. Do I have that right?

Whatever it was it will be fewer this year because of sibs from the current jumbo K class.

We applied online for PreK and got in off the waitlist while the previous school year was still in season.

Would love to know what number you were last year on the WL. We have an 8:03 time stamp for PK from an online application and I have no idea if that is early enough!

PreK-3 is not made up. It IS on the charter amendment proposal, page 3 listed as the first year for prek-3 as part of the projected enrollment information for 2014-15.
