At what age could your child count to 100?

DD knows it inn3 languages she's 2.5.

She knows it because we rocked her to sleep counting when she was little. She doesn't know the relation between numbers and quantities just yet.

It clicked one day for our DS, all of a sudden.

2and 8month. We were catching the waves at the beach and he did not want to leave . So we said we would do five waves. Then we did another 20. On our way back to the hotel, he counted to 109 in both Chinese and English. He only had one to one counting to about 5 before that. It is as if a light bulb went on.

100 at age 4, 1000 at age 5.
He was in a Montessori school where they use beads on a chain, with markers every 10 beads, to help the children visualize and understand what big numbers mean.

The age does not matter, OP.
What matters is understanding the concept!

My 4.5 year old gets the pattern but still can't reliably get to 100 without help and/or mistakes.

I don't know which Kindergarten teacher is saying 70, but it's a DC core standard to be able to count to 100 when you leave Kindergarten.

DD's former daycare has them counting to 100 at age 3. She's not there anymore, so she stopped around 50.

I agree that its no big deal either way.
