| 6:01 is right on the money. The big law partner who seems to do as she pleases is Melissa Mayer and Anne Marie Slaughter trying to sell us a crazy ass bill of goods. Watch your behind, Miss I can have it all - those partners are not fooled by your clever use of "technology.". They know you're working fewer hours and they will kick your ass to the curb so fast your head will spin. |

| Wow. This has made me so glad to have left biglaw. I had six months maternity leave and no one at my firm resents me. Why? Because the women almost all have children and have taken leave and the men almost all have children and appreciate what their wives are doing for them as mothers (whether in or outside the home). My advice? You live in DC. It's full of jobs for lawyers. Get another job. |
