Red lipstick: yea or nay?

OP, please ignore the haters - I think bright red lipstick looks really amazing on pale skinned blondes (I say t his, and I am an olive skinned dark haired woman who is insanely jealous of that look, even though I look great in red lipstick).

I don't think it's being a "hater" to say that if OP wants to wear the lipstick shade that Siena Miller has on in that photo, she needs to adopt that overall look. Otherwise, it's like OP seeing a photo of Siena Miller wearing a sexy black dress and Louboutin stilletos, then going out to buy the stilletos and wearing them to a party with a knee-length black wool pencil skirt and a twin set.

I'm OP. I never said it was a company party! It was a friend's party. I wore it and even DH agreed it looked nice once I had the rest of my makeup/hair/jewelry on with the dress.

I love red lips! Go to MAC they have a ton of red shades and they will help you match a shade thatis perfect for you.

Not the OP, but since when does "first christmas party of the season" mean "company party"? We went to our first Christmas party of the season this weekend, and it was most definitely not a company party.
