Please pray for everyone who's neighbors are too selfish to trim or take down dying/dead trees

You obviously didn't read. The first two posters talk about offering to pay for the tree removal.

We did this. Cut the limbs overhanging onto our property. However, that means jack sh&t when the entire tree falls down.

I'm not anti-tree. I love trees. But something like a huge poplar isn't meant to be around houses. Take it down and plant a more appropriate tree. PEPCO gives out trees for free yearly if you can't afford to buy one.

Not everyone can afford to trim their trees. It is very costly. If you want the trees trimmed over your property regardless of who owns the tree, go for it. Otherwise, don't be so dramatic.

You don't need the neighbor's permission to trim limbs hanging over your property.

But that means I would have to pay for it.....

We just need to get the law changed so that if the tree is on your property and it causes damages to someone else's property, you have to pay. Liability would get people changing their minds real fast about trimming their own trees.

OP. I believe your frivolous use of prayer is a grave and mortal sin. I will meddle in these interpersonal affairs of humans.

+1, love not having to rake leaves or empty gutters

Please just just move to Phoenix, Az or Las Vegas or something, and leave the deciduous trees to those of us who love nature of the east coast.

I think poplars are good strong trees.

We just paid "Jack the Ripper" to take out a large bradford pear so it wouldn't crash into our neighbor's yard. Love that name.

We just had a tree removed yesterday. It was not dead but in a precarious position with regard to our wires, our neighbor's wires and both houses. Our neighbor had mentioned it and offered to go half on it. We took him up on the offer!

Good for you , I can do whatever I want to my property , you can do what you want. In fact what I did removes my neighbors ' fear of tree falling our branches. Your selfish crap can kill or destroy other peoples properties.

thanks for praying for my family. There's a huge elm and the owner told me a week ago that he hopes it hangs on for awhile longer. Fantastic.

Perfectly healthy trees fall too. Our neighbors' tree was healthy and it fell on our house. I do agree that dead trees need to be removed (and I'm sure the insurance companies agree too), but don't kid yourself that only dead and diseased trees do damage.

Yes because when the ground is soaked and the wind has been blowing 40mph+ for 12 hours or more only dead trees/limbs down.....
