Issue with a friend over school teacher

The OP is not mean and, 19:23, what the other mother is doing is not a normal reaction. Mentally healthy people can disagree without it ending their friendships. You don't need a PhD in psychology to know that.

Too many people are quick to say "she's nuts" without knowing the whole story. I seriously doubt that each of the PPs have a medical or psychiatric degree, probably not even one. In fact, most of the nuts I know are in the psychiatric profession, but I don't hold that against them.

Who needs a medical/psychiatric degree to comment on human behavior? Do you need to be a neurologist to say you have a headache?

I, for one, like hearing different opinions because the older the get the more I realize the less I know. If a friend agrees with me on everything, I start to think maybe they're not too intelligent (-:

I'm one who advised cutting the friend loose. And not because their opinions differ. I have friends whose opinions differ from mine. It makes the world go round. I would advise cutting THIS friend loose because she sounds like a drama queen. Her problem with the school is HER problem- why try to drag OP into it?

The other moms who are in her "circle" right now just don't realize she is crazy. They will come around once they spend more time with her.
