I thought the main issue was whether the contrast dye is oil vs. water based (if I remember correctly I thought I read that water-based doesn't have the same fertility-enhancing effects?)

Hsg done after 5 months of no pregnancy at 35. Got pregnant that cycle, miscarried at 5w6d. No one ever told me not to try and it still makes me furious.

Had an hsg and got pregnant that cycle after trying with no luck for 5 months. Miscarried at 6 weeks.

My friend and I both got pregnant that cycle after bfn for over a year before. Both had miscarriages.
