So a premediated meaningless murder via hammer by a rich kid

You're still vulnerable on a bike. Stick or pipe shoved into the spokes and you're over the handlebars and on the ground.

Sorry... The boy is mentally challenged. Yes he has two famous football brothers, but the brothers did not show up in court. They are obviously not supporting the brother so bringing up that he has money or the family has money, is not relevant.

If he is mentally challenged, wouldn't you think they'd be trying to support him??

Do the brothers have a moral clause in their contracts so they can't be seen publicly supporting an alleged murderer?

The murderer was arrested FRIDAY. His brothers haven't had time to figure out how to help their family.

And the murderer was living with his grandmother, whose mortgage I'm dead sure the brothers would have paid off, so there's some support right there. And I doubt that they knew the kid was batshit crazy--otherwise they'd keep him away from Grandma.

1) mentally impaired;
2) has had every opportunity in life,
3) automatically rich because brothers are NFL players,
4) brothers are millionaires because they play in the NFL,
5) every NFL player is an instant millionaire by virtue of playing in the NFL,
6) that family has failed to provide any support to this family member in the past,
7) that this particular brother is a close brother or simply a brother in name only by virtue of sharing the same father or mother, but no real connectionto this individual accept in name only.

I must admit, DCUM is full of imagination. Together, I bet you could all write awesome fiction novels.

umm, I know how much Vernon Davis makes, it is public knowledge. And I know how much Vontae makes. Both are multi-multi-millionaires.

Except that one brother tweeted about getting a disturbing call from Washington, DC on Friday. Plus how do you know what his Grandmother's (who raised him and his two brothers) mortgage is? Both brothers went to Dunbar and lived in the house with their younger brother. Plus when Vernon came back to UMD for an event he bragged about how great his little brother (the one in the attacks) was and how he had much more talent for the NFL than either of the older brothers.

They weren't out of touch.

That said, I don't think it is their responsibility to pay for anything for him. Just because they have the means doesn't mean they need to do anything for this clearly disturbed person -- who, is technically an adult and therefore is responsible for paying his own bills.

And just for the record: Upon entering the league, Davis signed to a 5-year, $23 million deal that made him the highest paid tight end at the time

I never said they were out of touch--in fact, my guess was that any support for the brother came through the grandmother.

And the Friday night tweet points in the direction of Vernon not knowing his brother was nuts.
