Why you should never ever go to Baltimore

The problem with Baltimore is that there are far more ghetto areas than nice neighborhoods, in contast to other cities mentioned on this thread (e.g. D.C.). Stray too far from the Inner Harbor or Fell's Point and you are putting yourself in danger.

Like any cities, Baltimore has its bad neighborhoods and good ones. I've lived in Baltimore and there are many great treasures to be discovered in the city. It's silly to make such a blanket statement about Baltimore.

I don't have a gun and think Zimmerman is a jerk but I also find it incredible that cases like this and the Knoxville rapes and murders get little media attention.

This killing seems justified. The driver had no idea that this guy was mentally retarded. He just saw a guy coming at him while he was in his car with his pregnant wife. He had every right to defend his life.

Now, if he was in illegal possession of a firearm, he should be charged for this offense.

No, but I think a woman who drinks to much, at a party full of strange men by herself in a town she doesn't know is pretty stupid. Does she deserve to be raped? No - is she a fool? yes.

The Zimmerman case gained national attention because his parents organized petitions and marches/rallies.

If you think the entire city is that way they you are an incredibly sheltered human being and I feel very sorry for you. Are you saying that what happened to me there and my BF and his neighbor is not true? Are you calling me a liar? I lived downtown too - a few blocks from the harbor - not even on the west side beyond MLK. Perhaps YOU are sheltered or just ignorant - I don't know, but I don't care either. It is what it is. I forgot to mention that every panel on my car, in a 3 year period, ending up being replaced from people hitting it (except the roof panel). And my parking garage caught on fire too (but my car didn't get burned - just broken into a FEW times).

Actually, I have been to New Orleans. I was born and raised there. I've even, *GASP* gotten lost and ended up in the projects! Where there are....wait for it....BLACK PEOPLE!!! [On that note: I didn't mention anything about the race of the idiots that attacked him.] But you know what? When I was there I wasn't beaten, robbed, and stripped of my clothes!
Was it smart of him to get drunk and be by himself in a city with high crime rates? Of course not. But just because he made a (really) poor decision, that makes it okay for people to blame him?
