Recreational usage and medical conditions are two extreme ends of the spectrum, here. If a 16 year old were on birth control because she was in a long-term relationship, I'd call her responsible. If she really were having casual sex just for fun, I'd call her troubled. |
I got news for you...if you can afford Georgetown but use so much birth control that your Walmart birthcontrol account is bankrupting you....you may be a slut. also if you are a conservative woman, in the words of Bill Maher,,,you are a C*nt. Bill Maher gave B O 1 million dollars so B O needs to call all conservative women and console them. Bill Maher needs to apologize. If B O doesn't insist of the return of Bill Mahers money...he is a mysoginist. |
Can you please explain "so much birth control?" There are types, not quantities. ? |
more than 50 k a year for law school...so 51k a year in birth control. |
When is B O gonna return Bill "shes a C**t" Mahers money? |
being a parent is soooo hard. I actually had to lie to my daughter and tell her President Clinton wasn't a rapist and predator. sometimes you have to lie just to protect them from awful truths. |
Did anyone who's criticizing this woman's testimony even bother to read it? She wasn't complaining about the cost of birth control for herself. She was testifying before Congress in support of the regulation that would require religious institutions, under certain circumstances, to provide contraception coverage as part of their health insurance plans. She is a past president the Georgetown chaper of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. She testified about her past experiences in that role, data she has because of that role including surveys, and offered anecdotal stories about friends who needed coverage. She never said "she" needed birth control coverage, although she said that for students like her, on public interest scholarships, the cost of birth control for the term of law school was almost an entire summer's salary. http://abcnews.go.com/images/Politics/statement-Congress-letterhead-2nd%20hearing.pdf |
insurance is for emergencies and catastrophes. birth control is cheap. if you have cable or a cell phone and you are trying to make this silly argument...you are a deadbeat. (and maybe a slut) |
I still feel guilty about lying to me daughter and telling her President Clinton wasn't a predator or rapist. |
It's unsettling to children for a leader of the country (Clinton) being a predator and rapist. It's probably better to lie to them until they are old enough to know that as long as you are pro-abortion, it's OK to abuse and border-line rape women. |
Number one, the bolded line above, not true. The primary benefit of health insurance is preventative care, which lowers the risk of costly emergencies, catastrophes, and other costly medical conditions (like pregnancy!). Good preventative care coverage is cost-effective for insurance companies. If we only insured against costly things, then we'd have more costly things to cover...get it? Number two: by your logic, if you can't afford to pay full price for any prescription medication, you are a deadbeat if you don't cancel your cable or cell phone to pay for it. Okay.... so, what's the point of paying for insurance then if not to cover prescription drugs and other medical costs that would be too expensive if not for the advantages provided by a group medical plan? Or really, is it just hormonal birth control? And why single that out? What's your logic? I'm failing to understand how making it easier for people to get birth control is a BAD thing??? |
the money didnt go to obama. it went to a super pac. second, i hate this playground game folks like you play where you "excuse" an act that is truly disrespectful by bringing up an act by a person who did something similar on the other side. if i call your mother or wife a low life dirty bitch, i hope youd feel the same way whether i was a republican or democrat cause i wouldnt care what party you align yourself with, im going to swing at your ass. if maher called my mom or wife a cunt, hes gonna get it just as much as if its limbaugh. im no going to seek an voter id card to make sure im not going to attack a fellow dem ill concede to you as a dem that maher calling, i believe it was palin or bachmann, a cunt was wrong. so now what? as a dem ive found something somebody on my side said as wrong and somebody on your side as wrong as well. if you guys are that upset when a dem says something, then get rilled up and stop try to get them off the air rather than cry for days how the media is unfair cause if it was a dem we would be having a parade for them. |
So if you roll over for bill maher or president Clinton... You should roll over for rush limbaugh. Unless you are a transperant hypocrite looney Lib. |

And please don't try to tell me that Kirsten Powers is a conservative. |
dont get your question but overall, one shouldnt have selective faux outrage over something. it happens with both parties.
i am personally not lining up to get limbaugh off the air or have his sponsors dropped but if thats what happens to him than so be it. if it happened to maher or any other liberal, i wouldnt lose my sleep over it either. you cross the line, you face the concenquence |
