You can buy condoms over the counter. Women can't buy birth control pills over the counter. You must be followed by a physician to use the pill and women use the pill for reasons other then just to prevent pregnancy. Of course health insurance should pay for it, it is a part of reproductive health for many women. WTF people?

Why should insurance provide medicine to anyone? Because that's what health insurance is for! And good medicine is often sex specific because yes, men and women have different health needs. Should insurance not pay for a hysterectomy because men don't get them?

But hey, if the conservatives want to allow the FDA to make the pill an over the counter drug, we can call it a wash.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but Stern is NOTHING like Limbo. If you've ever heard his show you would know that. Carry on...

What on earth does this have to do with public money?

I think the PP is referring to the fact that Catholic University is a tax exempt institution, thus being indirectly supported by the taxpayers, and therefore has an obligation to all not just to follow Catholic teachings.

Too bad said "slut" wasn't a minority. Make that an AA woman. He would be in a world of real hurt and punishment for that outburst caused by his mental illness. He is hysterical and feisty and needs alone time away in a padded cell.

Stern wasn't booted, he quit for freedom of speech. His old station collapsed after he left and they begged to get him back. Try listening to him before putting him in company with racist assholes like Don Anus and Rush the big fat junkie.

Men who are anti contraception just hate women. When women can control when they have a baby, they are able to do things like finish college, go to graduate school and advance in the workplace. Men who are against birth control want women to be "barefoot and pregnant." Rush represents the GOP. And the GOP is clearly the party of angry old white guy, who hate women and minorities.

^^make that angry old white GUYS. Hate typing on the iPad.

Rush does not represent the GOP. A lot of Republicans are speaking out against Rush on this.

Yes, but most of those Republicans are worried about the impact on elections.

If they had integrity, they would have voiced disapproval of his offensive remarks long ago. But they love it when he says derisive things about liberals, minorities, poor people. Oh sure, some of them roll their eyes at things he says, but they don't do anything because Rush activates a part of their base.

So now, Rush's sin is that he pissed off a voter group important to Republicans, and he will get chastised for that and nothing more.

Disagree Rush is the GOP. All republican think the same way he does otherwise they would not be in the party.

The $3,000 was for the three year period she would be at Georgetown Law. I've never seen the Democrats have the skill to manufacture an issue out of the thin blue air. That is more of a Republican speciality. But, if the Democrats have finally pulled it off, they have Rush Limbaugh, the VA General Assembly, and Rick Santorum to thank.

Edit: Here is a tweet from the Communications Director for the California Republican Party:

Stripper, or strategist? Democrat strategist on MSNBC raging against Limbaugh, her name is supposedly "Krystal Ball." Speaking of #sluts...

Yes, it was brilliant of the Democrats to manufacture this issue. They have apparently even infiltrated the California Republican Party.

Generic birth controlpills are under$20 a month... Her3K over3 years doesnt add up.

You get to pay for $10 pills IF you have insurance. If you don't have insurance even generic is going to cost you a lot more than $10.
