Does your company provide tissue boxes?

Yes.

I didn't expect it initially but have found they are part of any admins supply order for the most part. Some buy them in bulk, not the best quality, think cheapo Kleenex like at the hospital.

I will say I'm lucky, my admin orders the anti-viral pop up ones.

My current job does, along with free drinks and breakfast every Friday. It is a first for me, with 15 years in the professional work force.

No but I work at home so have a supply at the ready. When I worked in an office we didn't have them either.

You reuse the plastic utensils without washing them? We're "country" at my house but not THAT country.

Yes, it's a huge waste to use once and throw them away. You use plastic cups, mugs, plates and tupperware, wash and reuse, right? What's wrong with doing that with plasticware? You can do it until the plastic gets damaged. While I may dispose of plasticware when I entertain outside the house (like a picnic, helping run an outside event, etc), if I used plasticware in the house, we wash and reuse where possible. As an added aside, it also means that we throw less non-biodegradable mass into the landfills.

However, we've stopped using disposable plates and plasticware even for parties at our home. Several years ago, we purchased an extra set of Corelle and inexpensive stainless flatware. We keep this set of service for 48 in a crate in a storage closet, take it out for parties, toss everything in the dishwasher after the party and when it comes out, pack it back in the crate for the next party. We've used this stuff a few dozen times and it has more than paid for itself in just the savings of paper plates, plasticware, and extra garbage bags, etc that we haven't purchased.

Another Princess.

Do you toss sippy cups after one use, too? How about tupperware?

Good call. I once found big boxes of perfectly cute wineglasses (24 to a box, I think) for not much more than a bag of 24 plastic "disposable" ones. I bought two boxes, and use them all the time.

As for tissues, OP, no, I've never worked somewhere they were automatically provided. That said, we had a pretty pliable office manager who would order anything we asked for, so I'm sure I could have requested them, provided they were in the OfficeMax catalog. She used to buy those plastic barrels of "party mix" for one the VPs... he went through one a week.
