I think the Posse comment was an independent, and pessimistic, statement about the rise of the militant right -- is that correct?

As for "Anonymia", I think that's veering off into Greek. A possible way of expressing the sentiment might be Incognito ergo sum.

And for "Get a clue" in Latin, how about Caput tuum in ano est?

I don't think PP's smiley was directed at the quoted poster, so the below doesn't apply, but man, I hate the eyeroll smiley in general. Allow me to elaborate.

Eyerolling in general sucks. I think it's far more respectfull to say "fuck you" or "that's idiotic" than to roll your eyes. I try not to do it face-to-face, but sometimes do involuntarily (more or less), and always regret it.

Eyerolling deliberately at/about someone, specifically for the benefit of third party observers, is almost the lowest kind of post. Instead of an argument or even a specific comment, it's an empty call to the masses. It says, "That poster's nuts - am I right, folks?!"

Worse, because it's so self-conscious, it suggests that the poster thinks that there was something witty and/or hip about his/her non-comment. That's ridiculous b/c it's so hackneyed, and particularly ironic given that the use of smileys in general is pretty lame.

Overall, it reminds me of two things:
1) an adolescent girl saying "What-EVer" or whatever similar comment the kids are using these days;
2) the lame "sassy" phrases you see on trashy t-shirts or sometimes on admins' desks.

When I see eyeroll smileys, I usually (involuntarily) roll my eyes and shake my head.

(Again, I don't think all that applies here.)

By their arch enemy, actually, unless Wiki is wrong:
"The EPA was proposed by President Richard Nixon and began operation on December 2, 1970," which was a time when boomers were in their early twenties and unlikely to have had the power to create government agencies.

But by today's standards, Nixon was a flaming liberal freak, right?

Nixon stated it was the biggest regret of his presidency. It had good intentions but got over run by the crazies.

Really? Because on the day he was pardoned in order to avoid prosecution, the NY Times front page was this:"Ford gives pardon to Nixon, who regrets 'My Mistakes'". Somehow he failed to mention the EPA.

So I would have to say that his biggest regret was getting caught in watergate, having his people go to jail and being forced to resign in disgrace.

You modern Republicans wish you could rewrite the history of your party but we won't let you. Nixon defended the environment, Reagan protected illegal immigrants, and once upon a time republicanism and foreign wars were not synonyms.

Heh. I was going to say something similar. One would hope that his biggest regret would be the felonies. If not, that just reminds us that his judgment was worthless.

Regardless, PP's claim about Nixon's regrets is beside the point. No one defended the EPA on the basis of Nixon's support; we just corrected the ridiculous statement that it was created by hippies.
