s/o: What was your first car?

A 1991 black Jeep Wrangler (stick shift).

I LOVED that car.

1970 Dodge Dart. It cost me $600 and I bought it within a week of turning 16.

Good lord, what if DS tries a stunt like that?

1977 Celica GT Liftback (w/ auto trans). Amazingly (and true) purchased from a "little old lady" who drove it church, the grocery and the garden store... Don't think it had ever gone of 35MPH in its life until we acquired it.

1986 Pontiac Firebird. I worked hard and bought it for $1400 at an auction when I was 16 (1996). The car was a huge piece of crap and the tires and rims were worth way more than the car itself, but I LOVED it. It had old school t-tops and in FL, it rains for like 10 mins at a time and the car used to fill up with water while I was driving on the highway, but I had nowhere to stop and put those heavy- ass windows back on there.

2008 BMW 328XI. Didn't buy it till I was 30. Got buy most of the time using public transportation and friends/associates.

'66 Mustang! 10 years later, after my mom and my sister.

A 13 year old blue Chevy Malibu that had been owned by my grandmother, then my uncle. My uncle drove it under a salt truck so it was polka dotted with rust spots.

I loved that thing.

Same car here, only mine was 1978.

1978 Audi Fox. Beige. When it would overheat the copper switch that was supposed to turn on the fan would melt, so my mom had the engine vented into the passenger compartment. My friends called it "the sauna."

1986 (I think) Honda Prelude - red! My best friend had the same car in blue. It was my dad's car, but when I got my license in high school, he passed it onto me. Loved that car - it didn't have power steering, though, so I definitely built up my arm muscles!

Hey! I posted the AMC Pacer. You weren't impressed?! It was featured in Cars 2. Better than any of the luxury cars you listed because as hard as I prayed, it NEVER died. It survived a hit from a semi truck (I was not the driver on that one.). Plus it had almost no blind spots with all the windows.

Me too! But mine would conk out all the time, plus it was 1992 and I went to private school with girls who drove brand new jeeps (one has PRNCESS on the tag, I swear). My parents bought it for me in wv for $500 and the bumpers were spray painted fake silver.
Needless to say, it did not win me any popularity contests.
the cute thing was my parents bought it for me because there were ladybug floormats-that was my nickname, but I think it had more to do with the price!

1982 Plymouth Horizon.

1980-ish Dodge Omni. That car was practically made of paper.
