Ladies, please put your boots back in the closet.

Unless they're rain boots. But I realize different strokes for different folks and if you want to look ridiculous wearing boots of any type then that's your prerogative. I won't force you to wear my comfortable and functional shoes and you can wear your boots.

Pretty sure OP doesn't hate boots. You sound like you might be on your own here, PP. OP, like myself, still believes in the appropriateness of seasonal fashion.

I can't wait to start using my boots.

High heeled boots on a ski slope? You do realize there is more than one kind of boot, right?

Listen, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE boots. I own at least 30 pairs of different styles, colors, suede v. leather, etc... I spend big $$$ on my boots. I buy at least one spectacular new expensive pair each season (okay, more than 1 but who is counting???) I take care of my boots because I love them so much, in fact I still have one pair in got in highschool. Thank God my mom loves shoes too (although she goes more for pumps and slingbacks).

I can not imagine anyone not liking boots . Considering what exactly the term "boots" encompasses, there are millions opf different kinds of boot, hiking boots being one example. It is kind of like saying I hate ice cream. What flavor exactly???

However, it is not real boot season yet, espcially not tights and boots season. There might have been a few days last week where you could have gotten away with the shirt dress-bare leg-cowboy boot look but that is it. And NOT in a professional office. Rain boots are a different story. You can wear them anytime it rains. While I personally would forgo the short-shorts and wellies look, it works for a teenager with great legs and a tight butt. I have super skinny legs and can fit in all boots but, you dont have to have great legs to wear boots, you just have to find ones that fit you. A muffin-top on a boot would be scary.

OP - please tell me when it's time to bring my boots out. I just can't work these things out for myself and I'm so afraid of offending you.

i for one am enjoying people's fashion in season changing weather. it can make for fun people watching. i love boots but i can certainly wait to wear them. rainboots get a pass. i usually wait until november to pull out my boots which is really late i realize. considering i'll likely be wearing them into april though, november thru march is a long damn time to get boot wearing out of my system.

I will keep you posted, my dear!

OP here. For the record, I do not hate boots, I love them. I understand the eagerness to pull them out after they've been in hiding for so long.

Although I am not offended by it, I just think they look ridiculous when it is 75 degrees out and muggy -- and I was having a little fun!

So sue me. Go on, do it...

Ok, my boots now have the right to be out and serve in the military. OP, why do you want my boots to be back in the closet? They've been there 15 years!!

Really? Where do you work that you consider this unprofessional?

At a law firm. But i would consider this unprofessional looking in most corporate settings.

I'm calling fat calves on this one. Oh, please don't be jealous because you can't zip up those sleek boots over your cankles.
